Summer 2010 Semester Scholarship
Deadline for Summer Scholarship Applications is 4 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010.
The Technical College of the Lowcountry Foundation has awarded over 1.4 million dollars in scholarship funds since its founding in 1983. Lowcountry donors have made significant contributions to the Foundation scholarship funds allowing talented individuals to obtain the education and training needed for new and better jobs.
A general scholarship fund is maintained and the Foundation receives contributions to the fund each year. Several donors have established scholarship funds that may have specific criteria.
Awards vary in amount and are applied toward tuition, books or other areas of student assistance. Applications are screened by a scholarship selection committee consisting of TCL Foundation Board members and TCL officials.
Textbook Lending Program
There is also a textbook lending program that does not require an application. The Foundation only has textbooks available that have been donated. Copies of every textbook are not available.
Students can sign up for the textbook lending program for the Summer 2010 semester starting April 6, 2010. They can step by the TCL Foundation office, Building 6, Beaufort campus or e-mail their contact information and schedule to foundation@tcl.edu. The program is first come, first served.
Please do not submit your book requests before April 6, 2010.
