Cake decorating with fondant- Students will learn how to make, color, apply & decorate with fondant. Students will also learn how to make an animal & rose with fondant & gum paste.

Fondant is a thick flavored paste of sugar and water, used in sweets and icings. It is typically found on fancy cakes and ensures less mess when decorating.

 Class Schedule:

  • May 16:  – Learn how to make marshmallow fondant, and how to mix & color your fondant.
  • May 23:  – Learn how to apply fondant to a cake, smooth, cut & decorate.
  • June 6: – Learn how to mix gum paste with fondant & make an animals.
  • June 13 – Learn how to make a simple flower (rose) & leaf out of fondant and to apply to cake.

Dates:  May 16, 23, June 6 and 13, 2012

Wednesdays, 6p-8:30p, Beaufort Campus

Cost: $115 (Students will pay $20 for materials directly to instructor the first night of class)
