Intro to Basic Production

This course will help prepare students who are interested in breaking in to the world of film and television production and will also teach students the basics of media production and where to search for media related jobs.

Students enrolled in this class will learn about various types of media production including:

  • feature and independent film
  • television news
  • reality- style programming.

This course will also provide a breakdown of who’s who on a working set in order to narrow down exactly where each student’s talents might fit in production.

Students will learn important production vocabulary and show students how to read daily shot lists. Q &A between students and the instructor is recommended during this course.

Finally, students will learn about different outlets of where to find production work and experience, and how to market themselves to various media outlets.
