Flower Arranging- Silk

Learn basic floral design for silk flower arranging. In just three weeks, you will complete several table arrangements, a door wreath and swag, and a decorated hat piece. You will also learn skills such as basing, height restrictions, container choices, use of positive and negative space, and color coordination. Designs learned can be used for table, mantle, or door. You will also learn bow making.

 

Students should come prepared with the following materials:

  • 1 pair wire cutters
  • Silk Flowers of choice (mixed flowers and greenery)
  • Dishes or containers of choice (for use in building arrangements)
  • 1 Straw hat
  • 1 Grapevine wreath
  • 2-3 round pieces of Styrofoam (green)
  • Spanish Moss (treated)
  • 1 pack of floral picks
  • Ribbon of choice (bow making)
