A database stores data, allows it to easily be manipulated by running queries or reports and also makes creating forms for easy data input. Access is a database application that serves these functions. Learn to maintain a database, create tables concentrating of relationships, and then explore running reports, queries and forms. Running a report displays particular information that you request of your database; Creating a query is like filtering specifics to answer a specific question (in a business, how many of my customers are buying red cell phones vs. blue ones?); and lastly, a form allows ease of entering data (think of an online form used to make a purchase).
