Individuals with a degree or certificate in General Business are prepared to meet the needs of an ever-changing business environment as a skilled worker, supervisor, manager or business owner.
CAREER OPTIONS:
TCL offers a variety of two-year Associate in Applied Science degrees with a major in Business. Other options include the Associate in Applied Science with career pathways in fire service administration, golf instruction & management, hospitality & tourism, or law enforcement/security management as well as several general business certificates.
Graduates can be employed in a variety of fields including accounting, retailing, hospitality or business management, health care administration or may operate their own business. Salaries are varied depending on the career choice.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Courses in the General Business program include accounting, management, computer skills, entrepreneurship and personal finance. Students may choose an emphasis in hospitality, fire service administration, law enforcement/security management and golf instruction/management. Certificates, which consist of six or seven courses, can be earned in accounting, culinary arts, hospitality management, management development, and entrepreneurship/small business.
