TCL Early childhood education students, shown here with Instructor Kelli Boniecki (left), created customized lesson plans last fall for the United Way of the Lowcountry’s Play Partners Program. The early literacy program supports literacy in Pre-K classrooms across Beaufort and Jasper counties.

“This partnership has given students the unique OPPORTUNITY to not only develop their own resources for future classrooms but also give back to the community in a meaningful way.”

City of Hardeeville officials presented a $150,000 check to TCL last December to go toward the construction of the college’s Arthur E. Brown Regional Workforce Training Center to be built at the TCL New River Campus.

“The Training Center gives our residents OPPORTUNITY and our community the training and the skills needed for the jobs that are coming.”

Whale Branch Early College High School (WBECHS) students took some time last September to recruit fellow students into the TCL dual enrollment program, which allows students to earn both high school and college credit for the same classes.

“Dual Enrollment provides an amazing OPPORTUNITY for high school students to jumpstart their college journey and gain valuable skills for their future.”
