THE TCL FOUNDATION
Established to serve the Technical College of the Lowcountry, The TCL Foundation is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization and accepts contributions on behalf of the college. Like community colleges nationally, TCL relies on local support to advance its mission.
TCL is state-assisted—not state-supported— and receives 18% of its operating budget from the State of South Carolina. In order to keep tuition affordable, the college depends on
generous philanthropic support to sustain and expand its facilities, academic programs, student support services and more.
Donor gifts are instrumental in allowing TCL to serve more students and graduate more skilled workers. Thereby, donors who ensure TCL’s future also ensure a stronger local economy and better business climate.
EMPOWERING STUDENTS & COMMUNITIES
Since 1968, TCL has empowered more than 89,000 students, transforming lives and communities across the region. From producing top-tier healthcare professionals and cybersecurity leaders to training skilled welders and head chefs, our programs drive success and growth. Your support fuels these achievements, shaping a brighter future for our students and the entire Lowcountry.
