Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT): Students will learn to follow universal precautions, tie tourniquets, identify veins, and demonstrate knowledge and use of necessary equipment necessary for drawing blood. Students will be able to identify appropriate tubes and labels for tests, prep the site, perform venipunctures, and finger sticks. The successful student is eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certifying exam upon successful completion of this course. The program consists of two parts, lecture/lab and clinical, the parts total 104 hours. Total tuition, textbooks, CPR, certification exam and lab fees are $1698.
Financial aid may be available through WIOA, SNAP, SCWORKS, Vocational Rehabilitation, and TCL Scholarship. Payment plans are also available.
