Certified Patient Care Assistant (CPCA): The Certified Patient Care Technician can work in a variety of healthcare settings including hospital, office, and long-term care facilities.  If you enjoy direct patient care utilizing diverse skill sets, then the Patient Care Technician Program is for you! CNA is a recommended prerequisite, but not required for this program. The classes cover content including: Patient Care skills, Patient Safety Procedures, Medical Terminology, Electrocardiogram (ECG), and Phlebotomy. This course contains 205 hours of instruction and lab. Upon successful completion of the PCT program and laboratory experiences, students will be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association PCT certification exam.
