Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT): consists of two parts, lecture/lab and clinical, the parts total 290 hours prior to the national certification test. The classes cover content including: Patient Care skills, Patient Safety Procedures, Medical Terminology, Electrocardiogram (ECG), and Phlebotomy. Upon successful completion of the PCT program, students will be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association CPCT-A, CPT, and CET certification exams. The student completes clinical experiences during the program to be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association ECG and Phlebotomy certification exams in addition to the CPCT exam.
