Print

This 75 hour course is designed to prepare students for electrocardiogram performances and procedures.

ECG Technicians usually work in a doctor’s office or hospital setting. This course will prepare students for the placement of a 12 lead ECG. In order to work in this field you need some working knowledge as to how the heart functions or a basic anatomy/physiology course (or basic biology course). With this course you will learn the rhythm rules, sinus, atrial, and ventricular rhythms. Upon completion, you will have a better understanding of MI’s and pacemakers.  Successful students will be eligible to sit for the NHA ECG Certification Exam.
