Hemodialysis Technician – ONLINE PROGRAM – Dialysis technicians primarily work in doctors’ offices and hospitals, but some provide treatment to patients in their own homes. Primarily, hemodialysis technicians administer dialysis treatment, but there is much more to know than that. They must know how to set up, monitor, and clean the equipment, create and maintain a sterile environment, and provide preparation, education, and comfort to their patients. As a hemodialysis technician, you will also be able to measure basic vital signs, recognize different types of kidney disease, and know the different medications available to dialysis patients as well as how diet plays a hand in treating kidney disease. The Hemodialysis Technician with Externship program includes 90 hours of coursework and an externship of up to 100 hours. It is designed to be completed in as little as 3 months, but up to 6 months of online access is included. Everything you need to succeed is included in the tuition payment of $3,599. A voucher for an attempt at the certification exam is included along with complete online access to expert-created curriculum and one-on-one support from your trainers and our technical support team.
