Employee Recognition Program

TCL Employees Matter

Is there a faculty or staff member who did something that made a positive impact on you or served TCL in an exceptional manner? Here are a few ways to help show how much you appreciate them and recognize them for their impact.

Pleased to Be TCL Award

Team Player  * Creative * Loyal

The Pleased to Be TCL Award is a peer-to-peer award designed to recognize a fellow staff or faculty member for going the extra mile and helping to build and reinforce, through positive actions, a culture of excellence.

Each recipient will receive an email with your message on a certificate.  Plus, once a quarter, the HR Team will randomly draw names to award $20 gift cards.

  • Goes above and beyond the requirement of the job.
  • Readiness to help.
  • Aligns actions and decisions with the college’s mission and direction.
  • Takes initiative.
  • Inspires a high level of commitment from others when taking on new initiatives.
  • Team player attitude.
  • Uses effective listening skills.
  • Displays a helpful, cooperative, and positive attitude towards superiors and co-workers.
  • Encourages and inspires people around them to accomplish more than they would normally.

Nominees will be awarded the Gratitude Up Award if they have demonstrated each of the criteria from above. Nominators should keep in mind the criteria and write the nomination accordingly. When asked why an employee is deserving of the award, elaborate on your response and give specific examples. Attempt to reveal in words how your employee met each of the criteria.  Recipients will receive a Gratitude Up Award certificate presented by their supervisor or VP during a department meeting.

Plus, once a quarter, the HR Team will randomly draw a name to win a $20 gift card.  In addition, the winner’s picture and nomination will be placed on the HR website for that quarter.
