For the 10th year, The Lions Club of Sun-City awards $2500 in support of scholarships for TCL Nursing students. Lion D’Meza established the scholarship in hopes of encouraging students to pursue careers in nursing.  The scholarship supports aspiring students residing in Beaufort and Jasper Counties. A donation of $43,018.60 was given from Palmetto Electric Cooperative Operation Round Up funds for a virtual weapons training system. In addition, the system will be available to local law enforcement agencies for the continuing education and regular critical skills training of law enforcement officers. Thank you Palmetto Electric Cooperative!

The Hospital Auxiliary presents scholarship funds to TCL

Ensuring student access and opportunity is a TCL priority, a priority shared with The Hospital Auxiliary. For the 24th consecutive year, the Auxiliary gave TCL a generous donation in support of scholarships for students enrolled in TCL’s Health Sciences School.

This June the Auxiliary presented a $20,000 check to the TCL Foundation.

The Auxiliary is an important partner to TCL and an exemplary student advocate. Over the past twenty-four years the Auxiliary has given nearly $500,000 in nursing scholarships. Because of the Auxiliary and many others, sixty TCL students received scholarship support in the fall and spring academic terms.

For more information about these and other scholarships, please call Mary Lee Carns at 843.470.5962.
