It is estimated that at least an hour-and-a-half a day is wasted on a messy desk. That time translated over a five-day period: an entire work day.

Jill Weaver, professional organizer, will bring her expertise to the Technical College of the Lowcountry Life Enrichment Center to offer a two-hour course called “Desk Rescue” from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, at TCL’s Beaufort campus.  Cost is $25 per person.

“Desk Rescue” will provide individuals with the skills they need to uncover their desks, to manage the constant flow of paperwork and to create simple filing systems – for the home and/or office.

Weaver has been organizing work and personal spaces since 2002 and guarantees that an organized desk allows one to get more done while simplifying one’s life.  Armed with a set of paper retention guidelines and other organizational techniques, participants become motivated and immediately apply what they’ve learned.
