TCL employee earns program planner certification

Amanda Hayman, operations and program manager for the Technical College of the Lowcountry Continuing Education and Workforce Development Division, recently received certification as a Certified Program Planner (CPP).


The CPP certification is a comprehensive professional development series designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of individuals who work to develop continuing education programs, hire instructors, and conduct program evaluation and assessment.


“TCL’s Continuing Education Division has already benefited from Amanda’s certification as she has successfully designed a several new programs including the in-demand Veterinary Assistant Certificate,” Vice President for Continuing Education and Institutional Advancement Nancy Weber said.


Professional education and training is relevant to professionals associated with lifelong learning programs because of increased competition. This certification acknowledges a standard of achievement and excellence in the knowledge of lifelong learning programming, according to Weber.
