The  Technical College of the Lowcountry Foundation recently held its Board of Directors July meeting at the TCL Hampton Campus, H. Mungin Center in Varnville. The meeting included a tour of the facility, which was renovated in 2011 and features labs for welding and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tool technology. In addition, the Hampton campus offers programs in computers, certified nursing assistant, EMT, and more. Plus, students can take advantage of TCL’s transfer programs and attend their first two years of college at the Hampton Campus.

Since its founding in 1983, the TCL Foundation has awarded close to $2 million in scholarship funds. In the last academic year, TCL Foundation donors provided more than $90,000 in funding for more than 170 scholarship awards that helped talented, deserving individuals achieve their educational goals at TCL. In addition to providing scholarship assistance, the Foundation establishes private sector support to further enhance the College’s teaching and educational capabilities while supporting TCL’s vision to provide innovative workforce solutions to Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper counties.
