The Technical College of the Lowcountry Division of Continuing Education is offering a special deal on its March 3 culinary class – attend at regular price and bring a friend for half-off.
The Knife Skills & Culinary Basics class will be held Saturday, March 3 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Hilton Head Health Culinary Arts Center, 14 Valencia Road in Shipyard Plantation. Learn how to use the most important tool in the kitchen – the knife. In this 2 ½ hour hands-on class, Hilton Head Health’s professionally trained chef will show students how to properly hold and care for kitchen knives. Cutting techniques such as chopping, slicing and dicing will be covered. In addition, participants will expand their knowledge of culinary basics by learning how to prepare homemade stocks and sauces while learning about proper cooking temperatures. Under the special offer, cost is $150 per person and $75 for a friend who registers at the same time.
