TCL program director elected to international board of directors

John W. Eichinger, program director for the radiologic technology program at the Technical College of the Lowcountry, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences (AEIRS). Eichinger, of Bluffton, will serve as Director-at-Large for three years.




AEIRS is an international professional organization that provides resources for education, networking, and research in the imaging sciences.


Eichinger has served as the radiologic technology program director at TCL since the program began in 2003.  He studied radiologic technology at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg, W.V., and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Salem College in West Virginia.  He received his Master’s degree in Radiologic Sciences from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas.  He is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in both radiography and computed tomography and is also a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, South Carolina Society of Radiologic Technology and Lambda Nu National Honor Society for the Radiologic and Imaging Sciences.
