The Technical College of the Lowcountry recently named Jonathan Bryant of Hilton Head to the South Carolina Phi Theta Kappa All-State Academic Team. Phi Theta Kappa is the official honor society for community colleges. Bryant was honored during a state-wide recognition ceremony at the State House on March 18.
As the TCL representative, Bryant has also been nominated for a spot on the national Phi Theta Kappa All-USA Academic Team. Bryant will graduate this summer with an associate degree in computer science. Bryant serves as president of both TCL’s Student Government Association and Alpha Lambda Beta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and also volunteers as a peer-to-peer student tutor. He plans to transfer in the fall to the University of South Carolina at Columbia to complete his bachelor’s degree and then to The Georgia Institute of Technology for his master’s. His goal is to work as a network administrator in a hospital.
The Technical College of the Lowcountry is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all qualified applicants for admissions or employment without regard to race, gender, national origin, age, religion, marital status, veteran status, disability, or political affiliation or belief.
