The Technical College of the Lowcountry Division of Continuing Education is offering a Computer Application Skills Certificate Program. This program teaches students to properly prepare and edit business documents, successfully communicate with internal and external clients on the phone and in person, manage multiple tasks and priorities, and make effective presentations. Students in the program also learn to use Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint effectively.
The Computer Application Skills Certificate curriculum is designed to give the student the necessary education, training, and skills to obtain an entry-level position in the secretarial/administrative assistant field.
Explore Word as a useful application to creating and developing documents. Learn to create, edit, format, and enhance documents. Discover shortcuts, set-up and other useful tools such as the use of templates for letters and memos, envelopes, labels and much more.

Learn the very basics of analyzing data, editing and formatting a worksheet and using functions and much more.

Outlook 2010 provides an integrated solution for managing your time and information connecting across boundaries, and remaining in control of the information that reaches you through email, calendar and task features.
July 11 through July 18, Wednesdays, 6 to 9 p.m., Beaufort Campus, $65
PowerPoint is an application that allows users to learn to create and maintain a presentation. In this class, students will learn to prepare a presentation from scratch and with the use of templates.
July 25 through August 1, Wednesdays, 6 to 9 p.m., Beaufort Campus, $65
This class includes information on office etiquette, telephone etiquette, organization, workforce etiquette and more.
