Program Description


The Basic Art certificate program is designed to extend the humanities related courses and provides access to the study of visual arts. It complements and extends the current Art History and Appreciation humanities offerings and provides an introduction to drawing, painting, and watercolor.

The 18-credit-hour certificate program can be completed in as little as one semester. Day, evening and online courses give you the flexibility you need. Courses include art history, basic drawing, painting, watercolor and more.

This program is a great choice for those who are looking to pursue art as a hobby or career.

What does this program cost?*

Tuition: 18 credits x $190 per credit = $3,420.

Remember, this is before S.C. Lottery Tuition Assistance and other financial aid, which could drop your costs by more than half. In fact, after financial aid, many TCL students attend for free.
