Program Description


The Basic Audio-Video Production Technician certificate gives you the skills you need for audio and video production in radio, TV, large-scale digital storage, and internet presentations. Hands-on courses and internship opportunities ensure you’re fully prepared to handle whatever scenes and sounds come your way.

TCL’s 25-credit-hour Basic Audio Video Production Technician certificate can be completed in as little as two full-time semesters. Courses include AC/DC and digital circuits, networking, audio techniques, editing and field production.

The S.C. annual mean wage for audio and video equipment technicians is $37,340, according to 2017 reports from U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Pay can increase substantially with time and experience.

What does this program cost?*

Tuition: 25 credits x $190 per credit = $4,750.

Remember, this is before S.C. Lottery Tuition Assistance and other financial aid, which could drop your costs by more than half. In fact, after financial aid, many TCL students attend for free.
