Basic Design Technician: Certificate
Design a bright future.
Computer-aided design (CAD) allows you to create virtually anything you can imagine.
The Basic Design Technician certificate teaches you to understand and create computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting techniques. You’ll then learn how to use those techniques to create your own computer-generated engineering drawings using the latest AutoCAD software.
The 12-credit-hour certificate program can be completed in as little as one semester. Courses include introduction to engineering and design graphics as well as beginning to advanced CAD courses. Students also explore advanced 3-Dimensional computer aided drafting, giving them the skills they need for today and tomorrow.
The S.C. annual mean wage for architectural drafters is $47,950, according to 2015 reports from U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics.
