Manufacturing companies use a host of mechanical equipment such as presses, conveyor systems, wood and metal shaping, and applied coating applications. They demand highly skilled workers who know these electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems inside and out.
TCL’s Basic Industrial Systems Technology Certificate gives you the skills you need to land entry-level maintenance and repair technician positions in manufacturing facilities. The S.C. annual mean wage for Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Occupations is $42,030, according to 2015 reports from U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The 21-credit-hour certificate program can be completed in as little as two semesters. Hands-on courses include maintenance procedures, industrial electricity, commercial and industrial wiring, and bench work for assembling and disassembling basic maintenance items.
