Commercial Refrigeration: Certificate

A very cool career awaits.

Get on the path to a great HVAC career, and become a commercial refrigeration specialist.

Program Description

The TCL HVAC Technology program is the Lowcountry’s residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning training center. Students receive hands-on instruction from certified instructors and can choose from day and evening courses in TCL’s fully equipped lab on the Beaufort campus.

TCL’s Commercial Refrigeration Certificate program specifically prepares students to service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment.

This 31-credit-hour certificate can be completed in as little as two semesters. Courses include tools and techniques; wiring; basic and advanced refrigeration, heating and air conditioning; customer service; and more.

And, here in the rapidly growing Lowcountry, commercial refrigeration professionals are always in demand and can work in a variety of settings such as hotels, resorts, shopping centers, supermarkets and other large companies.

The S.C. annual mean wage for HVAC mechanics and installers is $45,240, according to 2017 reports from U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
