Program Description


Golf is a huge world-wide industry and extremely popular in the Lowcountry. Why not play a part?

A golf manager – or golf pro – oversees the day-to-day operations at golf clubs and resort. Duties can include organizing events, overseeing budgets, and managing expenses such as for golf carts, ground maintenance and golf clubs. Golf pros also oversee tournaments and lessons if provided at their facility. The median earnings for golf managers is $47,065, according to www.payscale.com.

Technical College of the Lowcountry’s 66-credit-hour associate degree program can be completed in as little as four semesters. Courses include general education, business, management, marketing and communication. In addition, students learn from experts in the field during classes led by PGA golf professionals.
