
TCL recently welcomed seven new employees to the college.
Nichole Anders has joined the School of Cosmetology as an adjunct instructor.
Nichole is a licensed master cosmetology instructor, esthetician and cosmetic laser practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. She is passionate about “all things beauty” and is dedicated to educating and inspiring students as they work toward achieving their goals of becoming licensed cosmetologists.
Beyond the classroom, Nichole enjoys traveling, shopping and spending quality time with her family.

Brian Dear has joined TCL’s Facilities Management Department as a trades specialist.
Brian served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps where he worked as an electrician, drill instructor, quality assurance supervisor and senior advisor.
He and his wife, Jennifer, are originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, and now reside in Beaufort with their three children.
Rob DeFlumeri has joined the Kozak Office of Workforce Development as an adjunct EMT instructor.

LaQuasha Grant has joined the School of Nursing as an adjunct nursing instructor.
LaQuasha has eight years of clinical experience as a registered nurse and more than 20 years of experience in the medical field.
Born and raised in Walterboro, South Carolina, LaQuasha enjoys shopping, spending time with family and “getting her nails done.”

Brant Huff has joined the Security Operations Center (SOC) as a manager and the School of Business & Industrial Technologies as a cybersecurity adjunct instructor.
Brant has 23 years of experience in the cybersecurity and IT field having worked for the federal government and most recently served as a department head at the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort (MCAS).
A Marine, Brant was stationed at MCAS in 2005 where he served as a drill instructor. After separating from the service he decided to stay in the Lowcountry. Originally from Muskogee, Oklahoma, Brant is a Cherokee Nation citizen. He is married with three children.

Theresa Merchant has joined the Kozak Office of Workforce Development as a continuing education administrative assistant.
Theresa has nearly 30 years of experience teaching elementary art.
She moved to the Lowcountry from Pennsylvania 27 years ago.
Brian Wilson has joined the School of Sciences and Engineering as an adjunct instructor for TCL’s new electric vehicle program.

Brian has 28 years of experience in the automotive field and eight years of experience working with electric and hybrid vehicles.
He most recently taught at Thunderbolt Career and Technology Center, in Walterboro, South Carolina. He is Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified in John Deere and Caterpillar. In addition, he worked as a field service technician for Goodyear and Spalding Ford in Griffin, Georgia, and also ran his own mobile repair business.
Brian enjoys spending time with his wife, children and six grandchildren and also enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time in nature in general.
