Databases can be thought of as electronic filing systems. Use the databases to search for and retrieve general articles in magazines and newspapers, or peer-reviewed articles in scholarly journals.


Use the Online Catalog to find books, newspapers, DVDs and other resources located in the library. Search by Title, Author, Subject or Keyword.

Electronic Books

The LRC has two collections of Ebooks: ebrary and  EBSCO’s eBooks. Electronic books are complete books viewed over the Internet, available 24/7/365. Supplement your research with these keyword searchable books.


Note: To access electronic books and databases off-campus, you will need the following information:

Username: 7-digit TCL ID number

Password: first initial of first name + last three digits of Social Security number

Tutoring/Academic Success

The Academic Success Center is equipped with computers, reference materials, selected college textbooks and other multimedia technology. Online tutoring for general education classes and other college curricula includes reading, writing, basic math as well as beginning algebra, intermediate algebra, computer skills, test taking skills and much, much more. Ask the tutoring center lab monitor or an LRC staff member for more information.
