In partnership with the South Carolina Department of Education and Workforce, SC Works assists and supports both job seekers and employers. Employment centers are located in every region of the state, with employment professionals at the ready to support job seekers with career counseling, job referrals, testing and training services, and resume-writing. Support for employers includes fully integrated jobs portal, identifying and screening qualified employees and a virtual network of workforce resources and labor market information.
WorkKeys® is a skills assessment system that helps employers select, hire, train, develop, and retain a quality workforce. The assessments measure foundational and soft skills. WorkKeys assessments measure skills that employers feel are essential to success in the workplace.
Apprenticeship Carolina™, a division of the SC Technical College System, provides all employers in South Carolina access to the information and technical assistance needed to create and deploy registered apprenticeship programs.
ReadySC, a division of the SC Technical College System, promotes workforce and economic development in the State of South Carolina by providing customized workforce training solutions to new and expanding business. One of the oldest and most experienced training programs in the United States, readySC works in partnership with South Carolina’s technical colleges to prepare a workforce that meets the needs of business and industry.
