The Technical College of the Lowcountry would like to thank all of the employer participants and jobseekers that attended the Hampton Region Job Fair on May 17th. Despite pouring rain, scores of jobseekers explored the employment opportunities at the H. Mungin Center, visited the VR Mobile Welding Lab, and met with local training providers. In addition to the employers and partners listed below, special thanks is extended to the local community that promoted the event as well as Piggly Wiggly, McDonald’s, and Food Lion of Hampton that provided refreshments.

Employers and Partners:

Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Brays Island Plantation, Coastal Employment, Gallman Personnel Services, Hampton County Literacy Council, Hampton County School District One, Hampton County School District Two, Hampton Fire Department, Hampton Regional Medical Center, Hodges Management – KFC Hampton, Nupi Americas, Inc./Specified Fittings, Oakwood Products, Inc., Pruitt Health Estill, Resort Services, Inc., SC Department of Transportation-Jasper, SC Highway Patrol, SC Vocational Rehabilitation, SC WORKS/WIOA, Technical College of the Lowcountry – Admissions, Tradesmen International,

Sponsored by the Center for Business and Workforce, the event is the first this decade held at the H. Mungin Center, also known as TCL – Hampton Campus. When asked for comment, Shelby Simmons, the on-site administrator for the campus, responded to the success of the event by saying, “We hope to make this an annual event for the Hampton Campus as a part of our support for growth in the region. I sincerely hope everyone returns to the campus for our Business-After-Hours and Open House next Thursday, May 24, at 5:30.”

Melanie Gallion, Director for the Center for Business and Workforce, echoes that statement, “This was a tremendous success, the employers and jobseekers were very happy with the event. We invite the entire community to learn more about TCL and our support for local business by attending the Business-After-Hours and Open House on Thursday.”
