Healing Tides

TCL is excited to offer pro bono physical therapy services through our accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program. At the moment, these services are offered exclusively to TCL faculty and staff. Therapy is administered by PTA students under the supervision of licensed clinicians.

How to Get Started

Simply complete the patient intake form here.

Once your intake form is received, someone from the PTA program will contact you via email to schedule your initial evaluation.

After your appointment is scheduled, you will receive electronic intake and signature forms. Please be sure to complete all forms before your appointment to ensure a smooth and efficient visit. Please note a signed physician’s order is required within 30 days of evaluation.

Healing Tides Pro Bono Physical Therapy Clinic

Your privacy is a priority at the Healing Tides Pro Bono Physical Therapy Clinic. All personal health information shared as part of your participation in clinic services is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and applicable federal and state privacy laws.

Protection of Your Health Information

  • All health information is confidential, securely stored, and protected.
  • Access to your information is strictly limited to authorized clinic personnel, including licensed physical therapists, supervising faculty, and physical therapist assistant students directly involved in your care.
  • Your information is not shared with college administrators, supervisors, or Human Resources.
  • No employment decisions are influenced by participation in the pro bono clinic.

Your health information may be used only for:

  • Providing physical therapy evaluation, treatment, and education
  • Clinical documentation and continuity of care
  • Educational purposes under faculty supervision
  • Program evaluation or accreditation requirements only in a de-identified format

Your information will never be used for grading, evaluation of employment, or disciplinary purposes.

You have the right to:

  • Access and request copies of your clinic records
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Ask questions about how your information is protected
  • File a complaint without fear of retaliation if you believe your privacy rights have been violated

All faculty, students, and staff involved in the Healing Tides Pro Bono Physical Therapy Clinic receive HIPAA training and are required to follow strict confidentiality and professional standards. The Clinic is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and confidential environment for all participants.
