Technical College of the Lowcountry recently recognized 9 Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) graduates, 4 Practical Nursing Degree graduates and 10 Patient Care Technician (PCT) graduates during pinning ceremonies held on July 30th.
During the morning ceremony for nursing students, graduates received traditional nursing pins and lamps, honoring the legacy of Florence Nightingale, who famously carried a lamp while caring for wounded soldiers during the Crimean War. The Technical College of the Lowcountry’s Practical Nursing (PN) and Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) programs prepare graduates for successful careers as licensed practical nurses and registered nurses through a comprehensive curriculum that integrates classroom instruction, high-fidelity simulation, and hands-on clinical experiences. Students gain valuable experience both on campus and at clinical sites throughout Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton and Colleton counties, helping prepare them to meet the growing healthcare needs of the Lowcountry.
In the afternoon ceremony, 13 Radiological Technologist (ARRT) graduates and 8 Massage Therapist graduates were recognized for successfully completing the college’s rigorous programs. The curriculum includes general education, science and specialized coursework delivered through classroom instruction, laboratory training and clinical experiences at sites across the Lowcountry.
Upon passing the exam and graduating, students are eligible to become licensed Radiological Technicians and Massage Therapist and begin their careers in the Lowcountry and beyond.
