The Technical College of the Lowcountry recognized 12 Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) associate degree graduates during its May pinning ceremony at the Beaufort Mather Campus.

Students in TCL’s full-time PTA program complete 69 credit hours over five consecutive semesters that include general education, science and PTA courses taught on site and in a variety of off-campus laboratory and clinical sites throughout Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton and Colleton counties.

This rigorous coursework qualifies students to apply to take the National Physical Therapy Examination for Physical Therapist Assistants (NPTE) exam. Upon passing the exam and graduating, students can become licensed and go to work right here in the Lowcountry and beyond.
