TCL’s spring graduation set for May 9 at Waterfront Park

The graduating class of 2024 filled Waterfront Park for its spring commencement address.

The Technical College of the Lowcountry will hold its annual commencement ceremony at 6 p.m. this Friday, May 9 at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park in Beaufort.

The ceremony for the Class of 2025 will include 328 graduates receiving a total of 479 certificates, diplomas and associate degrees, according to the college’s latest count.

S.C. House Rep. Shannon Erickson of Beaufort will give the commencement address. In addition, TCL will announce and recognize this year’s Presidential Medallion award recipient at the event. As the college’s highest honor, the Presidential Medallion is given to a distinguished community leader who exhibits enthusiasm, integrity and perseverance beyond the ordinary to help build a better and stronger community.

Parking will be available for graduates and their guests. Due to possible traffic congestion, the public is advised to avoid the Bay Street area during this time.
