TCL Welcomes 5 New Employees

Ali Cadmus has re-joined TCL as Executive Director of Human Resources.

Having previously served as the college’s Director of Recruitment and Admissions, Ali returns to TCL with more than a decade of operational experience in both higher education and the private sector. Most recently she worked for the remote software company PushPress, Inc., as Senior Manager of People Operations.

Ali holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and Policy from the University at Albany and has specific expertise in talent development, organizational design and culture-building.

Ali moved from Albany, New York, to the Lowcountry in 2013 and lives in Bluffton with her husband, Alex, two sons, Anderson, 7, and Adrian, 4, and their dog, Reese.

Andrea Edwards has joined the Kozak Office of Workforce Development as Enrollment Coordinator for TCL’s Colleton Campus.

A veteran, Andrea served in the United States Navy for more than a decade. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a certificate in Operations Management from the University of Phoenix.

Born and raised in South Carolina, Andrea is the mother of two teenage boys and has three “fur babies.” She is a member of Writers Who Write and is active in her church community. In her spare time, she loves to travel, read, write poetry and shop for vintage goods and antiques.

Dr. Nimita Fifadara has joined the School of Allied Health Sciences as Program Director and clinical instructor for TCL’s new Medical Laboratory Technician program.

Nimita holds a PhD in Microbiology from the University Putra Malaysia, post-doctoral training in immunology from Emory University and a graduate certificate in clinical translational science from Emory University.

With 25 years of experience working as a clinical scientist, Nimita has worked and taught at Emory University and the University systems of Georgia, has published several papers in her field and has also worked in the private sector. In addition, she has worked on federal and state-level public health initiatives for the Centers for Disease Control and the Georgia Department of Public Health respectively.

Originally from India, Nimita lived outside of Atlanta for 25 years before recently moving to South Carolina. She enjoys music, vacationing at national parks and volunteering.

Anthony “AJ” Harl has joined TCL as Director for the Kozak Office of Workforce Development.

AJ most recently served as State Director of Career and Technical Education for Indiana.  Prior to working for the state, he was a secondary business education instructor and school administrator for over 20 years. 

AJ recently relocated from Indiana to the Lowcountry.

Katie Lehmann has joined TCL’s Military and Veteran Programs as a Military and Veteran Navigator.

Katie has over a decade of experience in hospitality and manufacturing and specializes in human resources. She has worked for IHG Hotels & Resorts, Gulfstream and has also worked in the non-profit sector.

While Katie grew up in a military family and frequently moved around the country and abroad, she has called the Lowcountry home for the past six years.
