Welcome to ECCO for Beaufort County School District High Schools!

Steps to Apply & Enroll as a new ecco student:

  1. Complete the TCL admissions application online at  www.tcl.edu/apply by the application deadline.
  2. Contact your Guidance Counselor (see chart below) to setup a time to take the Accuplacer Placement Test at your high school or at a nearby TCL Campus.
  3. If you place into College Level Courses, fill out the ECCO Agreement and FAFSA Waiver Form and the DUAL ENROLLMENT RESIDENCY DECLARATION 1 using the latest version of Adobe Reader (free). Then have your parent/legal guardian sign and fill out the forms. Once the forms are signed and filled out, please turn them in to your Guidance Counselor. Your Guidance Counselor will then scan and email these documents to the TCL ECCO Coordinator at ecco@tcl.edu.
  4. Once your Guidance Counselor receives an emailed confirmation from TCL’s ECCO Coordinator, the ECCO Coordinator will register you for your courses. Please make sure that you discuss your options with your Guidance Counselor to ensure that your classes fit within your Beaufort County class schedule. ECCO students are NOT allowed to register themselves.
  5. You will then need to sign up for TCL’s New Student Orientation

 Steps to Enroll as a RETURNING ECCO Student:

  1. Before your register for the Fall semester, fill out the ECCO Agreement and FAFSA Waiver Form and the DUAL ENROLLMENT RESIDENCY DECLARATION 1 using the latest version of Adobe Reader (free). Then have your parent/legal guardian sign and fill out the forms. Once the forms are signed and filled out, please turn them in to your Guidance Counselor.   2. Beaufort County School District Dual Enrollment/ECCO Student Eligibility

Requirements (Multiple Measures are not authorized). Students must meet ALL the criteria listed below:

  • St Commission of Higher Education requires for transferability purposes that students must have at least a 3.0 grade point average unweighted (on a 4.0 scale) based on the previous semester and as noted on the most current transcript to be considered for acceptance into Dual Enrollment/ ECCO classes in Beaufort County School District.

  • Students must meet eligibility requirements on the ACCUPLACER. SAT or ACT in keeping with the BCSD Registration deadline. A copy of the qualifying test scores will be maintained in the student’s record (A9). (Page 4- BCSD Eligibility Placement for Dual Enrollment/ECCO Courses- Accuplacer test scores published by College Board).

  • Recommendation by the school counselor.

  • Students’ parental consent to participate in the Dual Enrollment/ECCO program.

  • Approval of high school principal.
