Jason Dammer, Welding Program Coordinator at Technical College of the Lowcountry (TCL), will serve as a judge for the second annual Ralph Lataille Memorial Welding Competition. The competition honors the memory of Ralph Lataille, former Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director for Beaufort County School District, who passed away last year.
Students from May River High School, Battery Creek High School, and Beaufort-Jasper Academy for Career Excellence will compete for the title of top welding school.
Last year, May River High School swept the competition, earning prizes that included welding equipment from Miller Electric, welding school scholarships, and the Lataille Trophy to display at their school. Best of luck to all the students competing this year!
