Basic Construction Technology: Certificate
Build a better future.
As a basic construction technician, you’ll get to put your brain and hands to work.
You don’t want to work in an office or wear a tie. You want to be on the move, indoors and out, up high and on the down low. That’s why becoming a Basic Construction Technician is a great fit for you.
This hands-on program teaches you the fundamental skills you’ll need to enter the new and renovating construction industry. And, here in the growing Lowcountry, construction jobs are always in demand. The S.C. annual mean wage for construction occupations is $38,370, according to 2015 reports from U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics.
TCL’s courses cover basic construction information, hand-on operation of hand and power tools, print reading, materials used in residential construction, and an overview on how residential structures are built and included.
TCL’s 10-credit-hour certificate program can be completed in as little as one semester, or you can take a course when it fits into your already busy schedule.
It’s time to build a better life.
