TCL’s HVAC Fundamentals Certificate delivers hands-on training and essential knowledge to prepare you for fast entry into the heating, cooling and refrigeration industry.
You’ll learn how to use industry tools and equipment the right way—and safely. Through hands-on training and real-world scenarios, you’ll build the foundational skills to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems with confidence. In addition, all certificate courses can transfer into TCL’s General Technology Associate Degree.
This 23-credit-hour certificate can be completed in as little as two semesters. Courses include tools, fundamentals in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration, customer service, wiring and more.
TCL’s HVAC Technology program is the Lowcountry’s residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning training center. All students receive hands-on instruction from certified instructors and can choose from day and evening courses in TCL’s fully equipped lab at the Beaufort Mather Campus.

ACCREDITATION
Technical College of the Lowcountry is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees.
