HEAT PUMP: CERTIFICATE

HEAT UP YOUR CAREER

Learn how to service and install electric heat pumps, and get on a path to a great HVAC career.

For climates with moderate heating and cooling needs, heat pumps offer an energy-efficient alternative to furnaces and air conditioners. Heat pumps use electricity to move heat from a cool space to a warm space, making the cool space cooler and the warm space warmer.

TCL’s Heat Pump Certificate program specifically prepares students to service, troubleshoot, repair, and install electric heat pumps.

This  34-credit-hour certificate can be completed in as little as three semesters. Courses include tools and techniques; wiring diagrams; refrigeration, heating and air conditioning fundamentals; customer service; and more. Students receive hands-on instruction from certified instructors and can choose from day and evening courses in TCL’s fully equipped labs at both the Beaufort and Bluffton New River campuses.
